An Elegant Micro Wedding

Over the past 5 years, I have had the pleasure of photographing roughly 60 Micro Weddings at See Ya Later Ranch winery. Couples who either have a tight budget, or who simply to not want a large extravagant wedding, have celebrated their marriage with this scaled down trend. However, this does not mean they are any less beautiful. Nicole and Bryce's wedding is a prime example. From the invitations to the table settings, every aspect of this wedding day was classically elegant!

Because of the limited timeline of a micro wedding, I do not get to spend a lot of time taking bridal prep photos. I make sure to get the essential shots, one of which is the bridal accessories and other details. Nicole had saved the stationary used for their invites so I made sure to include them in some shots. Not only were these beautifully designed, but they were printed on the backside of a piece of artwork. Bryce and Nicole had bought prints from a local artist that showcased the view from their wedding venue. This made a for unique and breathtaking keepsake for all of their loved ones.

Nicole's dress was a fashionable and sophisticated masterpiece. I believe that the goal of any bridal gown is to enhance the brides beauty, not outshine it. This dress did exactly that! It's clean lines, plunging neckline and full skirt suited the rest of Nicole's bridal style perfectly. It also paired well with the grooms suave 3 piece suit. They both looked so good which was made for some awesome "First Look" photos!

The elegant aspects continued in their decor at the ceremony. A Simple and elegantly designed sign welcomed guests to their wedding, and variety of classic white flowers adorned the pergola where they would exchange vows. To top it all off, a harpist had been hired to provide angelic music as the bride walked down the aisle. The ceremony itself was short and sweet with just enough personal touches to make it memorable and emotional.

I wish I could have stayed for the reception, however, my photo agreement with the couple ended after portraits were complete. There was a moment though, where the bride went to touch up her makeup before the final shots. I used this opportunity to sneak in photos of the table settings. Gold plates and white linens lined each side of the long rustic table with a green and white garland running down the middle. These final details perfectly matched the rest of the day's sophisticated style.

From start to finish, every aspect of this wedding was planned with an aesthetic in mind and with attention to detail. It was well thought out and stands as a perfect example of simple elegance and every photographers dream!
