Sarah and Olmo
This micro wedding at See Ya Later Ranch Winery turned into a full day event when Sarah and Olmo hired me to stay for a few extra hours before and after their wedding ceremony. They wanted coverage of the bride getting ready as well as the reception and dance to follow. I was more than happy to stay especially after meeting them and their family. This small but lively group had so much love and joy to give and I had so much fun capturing every single glorious moment.
I started the day by hanging out in the bridal suite with the bride and her bridesmaids. Their hair and makeup had already been done at a salon in town so they just popped some bubbly and enjoyed each others company. Meanwhile, the rest of their family and friends were busy putting the final touches on the decor downstairs. Soon enough, it was time to get the bride dressed and ready to walk down the aisle.
After Sarah finished putting on her gown and accessories, I made my way to the ceremony site with a few minutes to spare. Guests started to make their way to their seats and Olmo stood in front of them all, nervously awaiting his bride. When he finally saw her, he couldn't hold in his tears of joy! When they joined hands and the ceremony began, the atmosphere around us changed. The couples happiness and excitement was so evident and so contagious. Soon, everyone, including myself, had the biggest smiles on our faces that matched the bride and grooms.
Once all the portraits were finished, we gathered for the cocktail hour and reception. Family and friends took turns making speeches that were filled with praise and admiration for the couple. Emotions ran high, a beautiful mixture of tears and laughter. Sarah and Olmo took their time to chat with friends and family, enjoying as much of the day as they could. There was no rush to move things along and everyone was perfectly content mingling with each other. But once the dancing began, the party vibes appeared! Though this group was small, it was lively and everyone was enjoying themselves to the fullest.
I always walk away from each wedding with a huge smile on my face because I love my job so much. But when I walked away from Sarah and Olmo's wedding day, there was a smile in my heart as well. The pure joy they shared with each other, touched me in a way that only a handful of weddings ever have. The love they share was displayed across their faces and in the way they interacted with each other. It spread to every person present at their wedding, from all of the guests, to the winery staff and wedding vendors. It wasn't just witnessed, it was felt deeply and effected us all, and it was beautiful in every way!
